【ペニンシュラアカデミー開催】日本文化をお花を通して世界へ。
このたびベル・フルールフラワーデザインスクールは、ザ・ペニンシュラ東京の体験型プログラム「ペニンシュラアカデミー」の一環として、海外からお越しのゲストの皆さまを対象にした特別なフラワーレッスンを銀座本校にて開催いたしました。
今回のレッスンでは、日本を代表する芸術作品である葛飾北斎の「神奈川沖浪裏」をはじめとする浮世絵の世界観からインスピレーションを得て、プリザーブドフラワーを用いたサステナブルなフラワーアート制作を体験していただきました。
舞台となったのは、日本の伝統的な桐箱。その中に、日本庭園を思わせる静寂と美しさを表現しながら、花材の配置や色彩の調和を一つひとつ丁寧に構成していきます。
花を通して日本の美意識に触れ、四季や自然との共生を感じていただくこの体験は、単なるクラフト制作ではなく、日本文化を五感で味わう特別な時間となりました。
また、プリザーブドフラワーは長期間美しさを保つことができるため、完成した作品は東京での思い出とともに、ご自宅へ持ち帰って長くお楽しみいただけます。参加者それぞれの感性が映し出された作品は、世界に一つだけのアートピースとして完成しました。

Belles Fleurs Flower Design School recently had the honor of hosting a special flower design workshop as part of The Peninsula Academy, an exclusive experiential program offered by The Peninsula Tokyo. The workshop was held at our Ginza studio and welcomed guests visiting Japan from around the world.
Inspired by the world of traditional Japanese ukiyo-e art, including Katsushika Hokusai’s iconic masterpiece The Great Wave off Kanagawa, participants created sustainable floral art using preserved flowers.
The centerpiece of the experience was a traditional Japanese paulownia wood box (kiribako), within which guests carefully arranged flowers to express the serenity and beauty of a Japanese garden. Through thoughtful placement, color harmony, and artistic composition, each participant explored the delicate aesthetics that are deeply rooted in Japanese culture.
More than a craft activity, this workshop offered a unique opportunity to experience Japan’s appreciation for nature, the changing seasons, and refined craftsmanship through the art of flowers. It was a meaningful cultural journey that engaged all five senses.
Because preserved flowers retain their beauty for years, each completed arrangement became a lasting keepsake of the participants’ time in Tokyo. Reflecting the individuality and creativity of its maker, every piece emerged as a truly one-of-a-kind work of art.
